Privacy Policy & Subscription Terms
Last updated: February 4, 2026
NoteFlow AI ("we", "our", "the app") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use and protect it, and your choices. By using NoteFlow AI, you agree to this policy. Our subscription terms are also set out below.
1Introduction and Scope
This policy applies to the NoteFlow AI mobile application on iOS and any related services we provide. It describes our practices regarding personal and non-personal data that we or our service providers may collect in connection with the app.
2Information We Collect
2.1 Information You Provide
Account and subscription data: When you subscribe, we receive from Apple information necessary to validate and manage your subscription (e.g. product identifier, renewal status). We do not receive your Apple ID or payment card details.
Content you create: Notes, recordings, and text you enter in the app are stored on your device. If you use cloud or sync features we may process such content as needed to provide those features.
Feedback and support: If you contact us (e.g. "Contact Us", "Give us feedback"), we may collect the content of your message and contact details you provide.
2.2 Information Collected Automatically
Device and app usage: We may collect device type, operating system version, app version, language, and general usage information (e.g. feature usage, session length) to operate the app, fix errors, and improve the service.
Device identifiers: We may use identifiers such as a persistent device ID (e.g. for subscription validation and fraud prevention) in accordance with Apple's and our policies. We do not use such data to track you across third-party apps or websites for advertising without your consent.
2.3 Information We Do Not Collect
We do not intentionally collect sensitive categories of data (e.g. health, precise location, political views) unless you explicitly provide them in your notes or messages to us.
3How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve NoteFlow AI (including AI summarization, transcription, and note features).
- Process and manage your subscription (renewal, restore, support).
- Understand how the app is used so we can improve design and performance.
- Respond to your requests and support inquiries.
- Comply with applicable laws and enforce our terms.
- Send you service-related communications (e.g. subscription reminders) where permitted by law.
We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
4Facebook / Meta (Facebook SDK) and Analytics
Our app integrates Meta's Facebook SDK (including Facebook Core and App Events). This section describes how that affects your data.
4.1 What the Facebook SDK Does
- The SDK helps us understand how the app is used (e.g. app opens, sessions) and measure the effectiveness of our marketing (e.g. installs, engagement).
- Meta may collect and process data as described in their own policies when the SDK is active in our app.
4.2 Data That May Be Shared With or Processed by Meta
When the Facebook SDK is enabled, the following types of data may be collected or received by Meta (subject to your device and app settings):
App events: Automatic and optional custom events, such as:
- App activation (e.g. when you open the app).
- Session information.
- In-app purchase or subscription-related events (e.g. that a purchase occurred), in accordance with our and Meta's policies.
Device and identifier information: Such as advertising identifier (IDFA), device type, OS version, and similar technical data, to the extent permitted by your iOS settings (e.g. App Tracking Transparency).
Other data: As described in Meta's Data Policy and their documentation for the Facebook SDK.
We do not send the content of your notes or recordings to Meta. Event data is used for analytics and measurement, not for building a profile of you for third-party advertising beyond what Meta's policies allow.
4.3 iOS App Tracking Transparency (ATT)
When you open the Home page, we may request permission through Apple’s App Tracking Transparency (ATT) framework.
If you allow tracking, we may use the advertising identifier (IDFA), app event data, and certain device-related information to measure installs, subscription conversions, and the performance of our promotional campaigns, including through Meta’s Facebook SDK.
If you deny tracking, your use of notes, recordings, and AI features will not be affected. However, we may be less able to measure advertising performance and attribution across apps and websites.
You can change your choice at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking on your iOS device.
How Meta uses data is governed by Meta’s Data Policy and Meta’s Terms.
4.4 Why We Use the Facebook SDK
We use it to analyze app usage, improve our product, and measure the performance of our marketing in a privacy-conscious way, consistent with this policy and applicable law.
5Other Third Parties and Data Sharing
- Apple: Subscription and payment processing are handled by Apple. Apple's privacy policy applies to those transactions.
- Service providers: We may use service providers (e.g. hosting, analytics, support tools) that process data on our behalf under strict confidentiality and data-processing terms.
- Legal and safety: We may disclose data if required by law, or to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.
We do not sell or rent your personal data to third parties for their marketing.
6Data Storage and Retention
On your device: Notes and other content you create are stored locally on your device. You can delete them within the app.
On our systems: We retain account and subscription-related data, support communications, and analytics data only as long as necessary to provide the service, resolve disputes, and comply with legal obligations (e.g. tax, fraud prevention).
Security: We use industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect your data against unauthorized access, loss, or alteration. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; we strive to minimize risks.
7International Transfer
Your data may be processed in the country where we or our service providers (including Meta) operate. We ensure appropriate safeguards (e.g. standard contractual clauses, adequacy decisions) where required by applicable law when transferring data across borders.
8Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
- Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Correction: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Deletion: Request deletion of your personal data, subject to legal exceptions.
- Restriction / object: Request restriction of processing or object to certain uses.
- Portability: Request a copy of your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
- Withdraw consent: Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time.
- Complain: Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority in your country.
To exercise these rights, contact us via the "Contact Us" or "Give us feedback" option in the app. We will respond within the time required by applicable law.
9How to Handle the Information of Minors
If you are a minor under the age of 13, it is recommended that you ask your guardian to read this Privacy Policy carefully, and use our services and provide us with information only after obtaining the explicit consent of your guardian.
For the collection of information of minors with the consent of the guardian, we will only use, share, transfer, or disclose such information when laws and regulations permit, the guardian expressly agrees, or when it is necessary to protect the minor's information.
If your guardian does not agree for you to use our services or provide us with personal information in accordance with this policy, please stop using our services immediately and notify us.
If you have any questions about the minors under your guardianship using our products/services or the personal information they provide to us, please contact us.
